Lynne and I have to admit that sales of our guides fall off a cliff near the end of the year. They are annual guides, after all, with new versions coming out every February, and no one wants to purchase an older version when the cruising season is all but over and the release of the newly updated editions is just around the corner.

We get it. So a few years ago we began offering boaters the chance to buy a package of our guides late in the year and we would send them a newly updated and expanded set of guides for free when they come out. This gives new users the chance to play with our e-book guides, see how they work, and get to know them and the Salish Sea.

Then, when these boaters are ready to set off, they are also ready to put the new guides to work.

It’s one of those win-win things.

Spoiler alert: As well as our regular annual updates to prices and facilities, we’ve added about 50 new pages to the guides, including new anchorages and expanded coverage of some destinations, as well as adding interactive indexes and maps of fuel docks to each guide.
