We partner with yacht clubs

Salish Sea Pilot has partnered with a number of area yacht clubs in a project which provides a discount on our cruising guides for their members while sharing sales revenue with the clubs.

How it works is we provide each club with a unique promo code which can be used in our shopping cart to earn a 10% discount on seven-guide packages of our guides. As well, any time the code is used to make a purchase, the club earns 33% of the sale price. 

It’s a win-win for everyone. Boaters get a break while supporting their club. The discounts apply to first-time buyers of packages, as well as those who qualify for supporter pricing.

At the same time, Salish Sea Pilot is able to promote the value of our interactive e-book guides, while earning goodwill with area clubs at a cost to us that is considerably less than what it would cost to launch a multimedia advertising campaign to reach boaters across our majestic waters on both sides of the border.

Clubs share the promo code with members through online communications such as newsletters and websites, and by posting the offer on clubhouse bulletin boards. Of course, anyone can use the code in our shopping cart, not just club members.

We would like it to expand the campaign to include every one of the more than 90 yacht clubs, big and small, on the Salish Sea. We do all the work, such as providing the unique promo code and promotional material.

So, if your club is not yet partnered with us, you might want to suggest they contact us to get their special discount code. Nothing could be easier.
