Since the first SAIL Amsterdam in 1975, it has grown to become the largest free nautical event in the world. Every five years, in excess of 600 ships venture upon the North Sea Canal, mooring in and around Amsterdam. The city forms a spectacular backdrop for the celebration, with concerts and shows of all kinds for young and old.

SAIL Amsterdam is the ultimate showcase of Amsterdam’s maritime history. The next edition of SAIL Amsterdam is scheduled for August 2020.
