Everyone loves a mystery

But it’s not always fun to be in the dark!
It was a surprise for us at this year’s Vancouver Boat Show when we discovered that many users of Salish Sea Pilot didn’t know about a certain navigational link that is on almost every page.
And for some of those users, it was a Missing Link that they felt should be in the guide but wasn’t!
A self-confessed fan of the guide — who has purchased several editions over the years — told us he was very happy with the guide, except for one thing he found super frustrating.
“You really need a back button,” he said, shaking his head. “It’s super annoying looking for an anchorage, to tap on one place and then have to figure out how to get back to the main section to tap and look for another one.”
Mystified, we asked him to show us what he meant on our big touch screen monitor. To our surprise, we discovered he didn’t realize that there already is a link on every anchorage and marina page — a small square that takes you straight back to the main section map.

Curious, we asked dozens of owners what they thought that little box was for. Many were just as mystified, some hadn’t even noticed it was there.
Hopefully, if you didn’t know about the link, this will help to make your trip planning a whole lot smoother (and faster).
Stay safe,
Jim and Lynne

Thank you! I didn’t realize either. Very helpful tip!
