Preparing your boat for Alaska
While Lynne and I try to get caught up after spending much of the early summer fixing things, we thought we would share this wonderful video from the good folks at Slowboat.com which details their list of service upgrades that boaters should perform and spares they should bring as they prepare for a cruise up the Inside Passage to Alaska.
It’s good advice for any boater planning to get away and explore remote waters.
Slowboat conducts annual flotillas from the Pacific Northwest to Alaska and have lots of experience advising clients about what and what not to do. Some of the information leans toward powerboats, but sailors should listen closely since it’s rare to see good sailing conditions up the Inside Passage during the summer — your engine is critical, powerboat or not.
